This show is great I recommend it

I used to LOVE this show but them it got kinda boring...

Ok I like this show a lot with all the drama and everything but why are all the prices increasing! One day is was $19.99 AND now it's $49.99. Are THEY CRAZY!! Who would want to but for fifty bucks! At first, I was going to but now FORGET IT.

Ok, yeah it says and talks about sex a lot but people can focus on not just the fact that they say sex a lot, or they can look at the lesson they are trying to teach teens. But besides that I love this show. My friend watched the first 5 episodes and I am now hooked!!!

I just started watching SLAT, and its a very good show. I love that it shows how hard it is to be a teen mom. However, as people have noted, there is a lot of material about sex. Overall, its a good show.

this show used to be a great show until everyone started having sex and getting pregnant. this show is so unrealistic that a five year would look at this and tell how phoney it is. If your looking for a abc family show that central idea is not sex than check out PRETTY LITTLE LIARS it has been a very good show so far.

I love the secret life of the american teenager not only because it's a great drama show but it's also has lots of information. I don't understand why some people say it's fake and none of this is true. ABC Family does a great job of portraying what it's like for some teenagers. Some teenagers are pressured into having sex by a boyfriend/girlfriend or their friends. I admit some high school/people are not like this but some are. So girl do get pregnant and their families aren't support and some families are. Every family, person and school is different, ABC Family and Brenda Hampton do a great job at showing what it's like for some high schools that have students that have sex and babies on their minds

Having already covered the poor acting and writing in my review for season 1, I'd like to focus on other bad aspects of the show in this review. Okay, so Amy has had her baby. If the show were halfway decent (aside for the poor writing, acting, etc.), the obvious thing to do would be to show how Amy's life has changed because of the baby, and show him grow up and develop. This would provide a moral, because it would show teenage girls how bad of a choice it is to engage in sex before marriage. However, the show instead decides to focus on the soap-opera esque relationships betweenthe supporting characters and hardly mention the baby at all. And guess what? Now ANOTHER character is pregnant. The series will obviously never go anywhere, because it chooses not to focus on what happens to the girls after they have babies. So to keep it running, a character must become pregnant in every subsequent season (assuming that the show is renewed; hopefully it won't be). In short, the series will obviously never go anywhere and continue to teach its viewers that it's okay to get knocked up, because raising a child is never discussed.
