However, time slowly unmasked the cracks in their relationship a revealed that they were incompatible from the very beginning. Diana’s scandalous BBC interview with Martin Bashir shocked the nation and was shortly followed by the couple’s turbulous divorce. However both of these tragedy’s were trumped by Diana’s sudden death on the 31st of August 1997 in Paris.
