Kung Fury

It’s absurdity at its best. There is a feature-length on the way that may have been delayed by COVID-19. This cheers me up every time I watch it. I can’t wait to see more!!

There is not much to say, should I categorized as comedy fantasy science-fiction, I threw up twice in my mouth just from watching the trailer please don’t make any other movies like this again

This movie takes a hundred 80s action movies and concentrates them into a 30 minute diamond tipped bullet and then shoots you in the forehead with it.

The greatest movie of alll time.

I hope they make a sequel someday soon. This movie rocks.

The awesomeness of this movie would be very difficult to overstate...

9/10 Nostolgia based films and music have been all the rage lately, movies such as Drive and The Guest or music like Miami Nights 1984 or College have all mined earlier decades for inspiration, but I don't think any of those (trust me, I adore Drive and The Guest) can do quite what Kung Fury does. It's the perfect thirty minute mash up of green screen cheese, Carpenter- esque synths, norse gods, Hitler, and a talking Triceratops named Triceracop. It all may seem very silly when I describe it, and it really is, but if you have a beating heart in your chest and just have a sliver of a sense of humor than there's no way you can't enjoy it, it just overcomes you with it's charm. I'm not going to spoil it for you, I'm just going to say that it's director, David Sanberg, has a bright future as a filmmaker. Although I am excited for Kung Fury II: The Movie which will supposedly come to fruiton in 2016, I am also rather worried. I don't think you can stretch the joke out for an entire run length, and I doubt people will even remember Kung Fury in 2018, but still, I will be first in line to watch it.

Perfect in so many ways, I just had to buy it even though it's available online. Perfect blend of everything awesome from the 80's and 30 minutes is the perfect length.
